IELTS lessons: before you start
Are the IELTS lessons really free?
Yes. Every lesson is free to read, and you can follow each one with a free IELTS mock test or free Cambridge practice test.
Which IELTS skill should I learn first?
Start with the skill that scores lowest in your first free mock test. Most learners begin with Reading question types, then Writing Task 2, then Listening and Speaking.
Do the lessons cover Academic and General Training?
Listening and Speaking are identical for both. Reading and Writing lessons mark where Academic and General Training differ.
How long does it take to improve my IELTS band score?
Many learners gain 0.5 to 1.0 band in 4 to 8 weeks by studying one question type at a time and sitting a timed mock test every week.
Where can I practise after a lesson?
Use the Practice Hub for IELTS practice by question type, or sit a full free IELTS mock test with an instant band score.
